Gorillas Find Love

Female gorillas at London Zoo have been given dating website style photographs of possible mates, almost like e Harmony in a way. The Zoo’s female gorillas, Mjukuu, Effie, and Zaire are set to be joined later this year by 20 stone male gorilla Yeboah, a 12-year-old who is currently in France. Keepers wanted to get a feel for how the female trio will respond to him and gave each a set of snaps showing him strutting his stuff. It is hoped this will mean the gorilla girls recognize him when he arrives and will be more likely to mate with him.
Keepers visited Yeboah in France a month ago to observe his personality and decided the dashing male would get along perfectly with London Zoo’s female gorillas, who have lacked male attention since the death of silverback Bobby in December 2008. Team leader Tracey Lee said: “Mjukuu was holding the picture as if she was reading a newspaper. We think Yeboah will go for her first because she’s very pretty, very social and she’s a terrible flirt. She used to hug Bobby and sit on his knee all the time while looking over her shoulder at the others. Yeboah is a very charming, fun loving and intelligent gorilla. I think it was love at first sight when the girls were let onto the island to look at the pictures – it was a very special moment.”
Yeboah has also been given pictures of the three London ladies and keepers believe that this will help familiarise the gorillas with each other before they meet. How romantic can gorilla love be?

Ahhh, if news couldn’t get any better. Sorry for the lack of updates, but there is so much going on that I can’t even update from my phone o_o; School is way too tiring…

Well, recently Academics have created a website which they claim will calculate the odds of you dying in the next 12 months. It was created by researchers at Carnegie Mellon University DeathRiskRankings uses sets of public data to make the prediction based on your answers to a series of questions.
It takes into account your age, sex and location and compares this with statistics on 66 causes of death, including various illnesses, accidents and even murder rates, to work out your chance of survival. Personally, I don’t get it, but try and see if you guys can get it…

A security guard claims to have seen the Loch Ness monster … on Google Earth. Jason Cooke says the satellite image clearly shows the Nessie he has heard about in previous accounts and descriptions. The 12m figure can be seen as a head with a long neck, followed by two large flippers, and two minor flippers attached to a large body. While Loch Ness fans online are saying the image proves the existence of the monster … others claim it just looked like the wake of a speedboat. I would say its a speed boat, but honestly, how would the waves behind the “boat” show up. Maybe the Loch Ness does exist?!

An Edible Piano?

Mark Northeast, from West Sussex, decided to make four-year-old son, Oscar’s, meals more interesting than the average ham sandwich by sculpting them into cartoon characters. Sure enough using cucumber, celery and bread to make a snapping crocodile got Oscar eating, and the SpongeBob SquarePants made with bread, cheese, salmon and sausages went down a treat. In fact, all of his creations are good enough to eat, but with some – like the bread and ham piano with sculpted cheese keys – it almost seems a shame.

Mark said the arty sandwiches were a success with Oscar because the shapes and characters distracted him from what he was eating.
He added of the idea to create cartoon-style food “It was born out of the desire to turn an ordinary lunchtime sandwich into something a bit different to encourage children to try and eat a varied and healthy lunch.”
He now posts the images to his website FunkyLunch.com which is viewed by thousands of people each day and hopes to produce a recipe book featuring his creations.

Now you best give this parent credit. Gosh, I’d just totally force my son to eat it. What a loving, and very creative with a lot of time on his hands, father.

Mermaids and Facebook Oh My!

Hello, time for the awesome yet odd news of today.
Hundreds of people in Israel are spending their evenings looking for mermaids after a series of ‘sightings’ were reported. According to the dozens of people who claim to have seen the mermaid – but no one had a camera at the time – she appears just off the coast at around sunset. Now the town council of Kiryat Yam, near Haifa, is offering a 1 million dollars to anyone who can prove that she exists. Of course the town says is offering the reward purely for scientific reasons, and not because they hope the odd news might boost tourism. Those who claim to have seen the mermaid claim she does tricks and jumps out of the water like a dolphin.
The council added that a photograph will count as proof and that there is no need for people try to catch the mermaid. Awesome, I KNEW THEY EXISTED but hey, people will photoshop up a picture I swear… What else will the mermaid do? Sing and do tricks for food?

AND, it looks like Facebook is going to launch another project/feature very soon. The new feature will be called “Facebook Lite”. It’s going to look like Twitter, since Twitter is the most popular thing right now. Facebook acquired Friendfeed and a realtime search. Now, it looks like “Facebook Lite” is coming, because thousands of Facebook users have been chosen to test out Facebook Lite. And just as quickly, the message disappeared. It has been reported that the link does NOT work because I’ve tired and it just takes you back to the home page.

OH GOSH, I HAVEN’T UPDATED IN FOREVERRRR! Shame on me. I had to work on my project (so last minute) so I didn’t update till I finished it…

Well, I have school now, and it started yesterday.

I don’t really know any awesome news to tell you. I actually have bad news.

My cat Wally, passed yesterday. I was so sad, and it was my first day of school too. She passed peacefully, but I’m still sad she’s gone. I believe though that she still hangs around our house in spirit… Not a real awesome thing to think about but none the less, heart warming to me.

So I just wanted to let you guys know that I am STILL alive. Thank you and have an awesome night… or day… or wherever you are!

A New Michael Movie?!

Hello! Gosh today was such a long day. Gosh, I feel like eating SO MUCH. There’s too much news so I’m only going to say at least 1 and at the most, 2-3. There’s just way too much going on the awesome world of today.

BUT GUESS WHAT?! THERE WILL BE A MCHAEL JACKSON MOVIE. New court documents in the Michael Jackson estate case reveal Columbia Pictures scored the footage of Michael Jackson’s rehearsals and preparations for his London concerts, but the studio is paying a lot of money. Under the terms of the deal, the Jackson estate will get 90% of the profits and AEG will get the remaining 10%. Columbia will guarantee a minimum of $60 million in return for the rights. Columbia will be creating the movie with all of the footage gained. I have been told that the movie might come out some time at the end of this year or early next year. I feel like the media is so hypocritical sometimes. At first they were over Michael telling of all of the stuff that happens to him, and so to appeal to the public, they put up all of this “Sad News: Michael Jackson is Dead.” What has the world become these days?!

But hey, remember when Vanessa Hudges had that nude photo leaked online? Well guess what? It leaked online AGAIN. She needs to stop leaking all of these photos man. Is she trying to look bad for Disney? I mean, gosh , shes comming out with that new movie too! Gosh this will make her look bad.

Babies and Swine Flu?

sorry for the lack of updates, but I will try to update daily from now on lol. School will start in about a week and 5 days and 4 nights, but you know what? I have to live it up… And also I have to go finish my projects which I never started on yet. oh shiz.

In other news: Babies are being taught how to use sign language to tell their parents if they are suffering swine flu symptoms. UK and American nurseries are being encouraged to teach children the basic signs for things like “hot”, “cold”, “pain” and “ill”. It is hoped that the children could use the 30 signs to alert parents that they may have swine flu, before they would otherwise know. The children are also shown how to communicate that they want ‘more water’ or even a ‘hug’ to make them feel better. I’m sorry, but if I have to memorize 30 signs to see if my kid is alright, I don’t know if I can handle it. Just imagine the other 30 signs to signal that their T.V. show is on? Oh Lord.

Also, have you ever wanted an e-mail address for MySpace? Well now you can. MySpace has just started rolling out the beta for their MySpace Mail program. It will come in waves, with all users having access within the next few weeks. I think it’s doing this because MySpace is failing right now. I used Facebook more than MySpace, but MySpace let’s you customize everything, which I like. More info here.

The married man is said to have been lured to a hotel by one of the women he was sleeping with and blindfolded and tied to the bed, but when the blindfold was removed Donessa Davis saw his mistress was joined by his wife … and two of his other lovers. Police say the women then pointed a gun at him, quizzed him about his infidelity and super glued his to his leg, leaving him in a rather sticky situation and call to room service. Chicken Nuggets Anyone?

Hello everyone! This is the first blog post ever!

Let’s get down to business.

A while ago, Ronald Vikash Gander, a 27 year old, and his 16-year-old girlfriend devised a plan to prostitute a teenage girl so they could afford the weekly $1050 rent on a serviced inner-Brisbane apartment. The court was told the girl made $4500 for having sex with five middle-aged men in June last year. Gander and his girlfriend used the money for living expenses and paid the girl nothing except for the occasional box of chicken nuggets.

Honestly, chicken nuggets? I don’t know why but I feel that McDondal’s Chicken Nuggets are gross. My mom thinks it will make a man’s… you know what… fall off too…Yea that is gross.

In other news:
Yogi Okey Dokey is probably the weirdest show I’ve ever seen. Yogi has a farm and is aided by Rasta the Jamaican rooster and a singing cow named How Now that reminds everyone to keep breathing. He makes them dance and how to act like animals. I don’t know but I feel like he is really freaky and acts like a Pedo. I feel like he is creapy when he’s all, “Are you breathing Christen?” If I were him, I’d kick that mofo. He takes a lot of interest in that boy’s… “anvil”.
